HALLOWEEN STEM ADVENTURE – Grades K-8

The only way to hunt monsters is to have a working knowledge of forms of light, basic monster psychology (in this case GROHLLS), monster anatomy and physiology, geographic locations through coordinates, and the structural integrity of monster safe houses. This Halloween will be like nothing you’ve known! Join in on the hunt and claim your Halloween treats!

Learning Targets: physics – the study of light, measurement, 3D CAD design, map reading, communication skills, logical thinking, teamwork, and mindfulness & movement

Parent participation: Parents we’ll need your special skills to support your monster hunters. Once you register your hunter(s) we will send along with instructions.

This Halloween will be like nothing you’ve known before! Monsters are running loose in your town. Your mission? Find the monster food, hide it in your belly. Join in on the hunt and claim the treats and make the monsters go away.

READING ADVENTURE – Grades K-2

THE TELL features story time read-aloud by an INCREDIVERSE character. Reading aloud to children has been shown to improve reading, writing, communication skills, logical thinking, concentration, and general academic aptitude. It also inspires a lifelong love of reading. Teachers and parents use THE TELL in their classrooms and at home.

Learning Targets: Reading, writing, communication skills, logical thinking and concentration, general academic aptitude

TOT BOTS

Kids are never too young for robots. Tot Bots campers will bring to life robots they engineer and build.

One day, the world of BOTSTER came to a complete standstill. No one under 4 feet tall could get in or out! It’s time for the Tot Bot crew to swing into action. Calling all grade school Earth engineers! Your mission is to re-build the world of BOTSTER! We’ll work with cardboard, tubes, rubber bands, string, pulleys, glue, crayons, and basters to get BOTSTER back online. Tot Bots uses hands-on creative play with robots to teach early STEAM literacy in engineering, physics, and design. Tot Bots starts and ends with a yoga wake-up moooovement.

SHAPESTERS

Unlock the power of shapes, circles, squares, spheres, triangles, and rectangles. The world is waiting to see what you can do with all those shapes in your hands and your grand plans. Shape masters called The Whizodd and their spherical cohorts will challenge learners to make shapes come to life. It’s hands-on play with clay and 3D programs along with an exploration of geometry and fractions.

Every class begins and ends with wakeup mooovement and a bit of meditation.

Math comes to life for young learners in a week-long journey into Mathlogical number-creature camp! Students explore mathematical concepts by creating, fuzzy, creepy, crawly, shimmering, or swimming Mathologicals: students decide! These crazy creations consume and combine, illustrating mathematical concepts. At the end of Mathologicals, students can send out their favorite masterpieces to receive 3D printed models of their unique creatures. Enroll now for fun and fantastical math discovery.

Make music, learn about other cultures, and find your favorite sounds. Prodigy learners will learn how to create their own beats and explore how music makers work from all around the world. Students will also get a few surprises from out of this world! We’ll discover the connection between music, the surrounding culture of fashion and society.

VISIONEER 101

Imagine a story, sketch it out, add color and effects, pop in the writing and share! Visioneers teaches learners to create incredible art for comic books, graphic novels, or storyboards. Embedded in all this creativity is measurement and dimensions. What size are your panels? How many can we fit on a page? How about a little perspective?! The first step is all about imagination. What do you want to say? Explore different styles of comic book and storyboard art – all to find the best way to express what they have in mind. First, we’ll break out the drawing pads, then dive into state of the art visualizing software. We’ll explore brushes, painting styles, and graphic formats.

Visualizing imaginative ideas unlocks advanced skills in literary comprehension, creative writing, and innovative solutions to any problem.
